Picture shows black but description clearly states that these are Gray. Would not have purchased them if I knew for sure they were black. Looking for a soft, non-marking wheel. I will try them and return them if they don't work out

Worked Perfect on My Craftsman Mechanic's Stool
The wheels on my Craftsman Mechanic's Stool had been going bad for some time. When the ball bearings started falling out, I figured it was time for a replacement. I looked at buying a new stool but saw where they sold for $65 + tax. Since the rest of the stool was in good shape, I opted to replace the wheels instead. These are a better wheel than the stool came with and worked perfect.

4.5 stars. this 2 pack makes it the deal. Bought 8 pks. I have just installed. Replaced a double plastic stock wheel for pvc chairs. These look 4Xmore durable than the plastic ones. For covered outdoor patio. Will have to see how the bearings/chrome hold up. Looks like they will do good.2-3 wheels out of 16 had threads were a little off. Used 2 wrenches and easily got past trouble area. Good after that. Look and work will so far. Buying 2 more sets for another chair. Time will tell so far so good. For the money and beefyness this looks like the best product out there.Need a super thin wrench if screwing all the way in . I added a nut all the way down the treads so I could wrench it. The top bearing plate is in the shape of a 1-1/4" super thin nut. Don't crank on this.

Compatible with furniture legs.
Purchased 8 of these - and I'm happy to say - not one dud. The threads are all the same. Used them to replace straight peg legs on raymond and flannigan furniture after comparing the threads-per-inch and diameters. Tricky to get them tight because of the design, but not complaining. They work. Furniture is now shorter and can roll - which is exactly what was needed. One wish - that Shepherd would offer a locking version, but I couldn't find any compatible ones - not even on the Shepherd site. Would purchase again.
